SpoonfedNYC was the brainchild of the love of NYC’s Broadway community supporting, encouraging and helping one of its own fellow backstage workers. They recognized his talent and potential to grow his passion of cooking for his friends backstage, to launching a restaurant. Through all the difficulties and missteps to opening, this community, raised money, put in sweat equity and gave love in full support and commitment to seeing SpoonfedNYC restaurant realized. This outpouring of support extended to their friends and families, and the graciousness of the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood at large. Randy remains forever grateful and dedicated. After closing in 2020, like so many other small businesses, Randy has his sites on reopening in Manhattan Hell’s Kitchen near the Theater District, in a smaller space but with same big heart.
